A customer WLAN is essential for all companies that have regular customer traffic at their location, as such a network is an important tool for improving customer relationships. Since hardware is not recommended for private households in such an area of application, particularly due to security concerns, professional hardware should be used. This is because public WLAN must always function reliably without interruption, while it must be secure for all users and operators despite unhindered access. For this reason, Socialwave relies exclusively on professional hardware partners such as Mikrotik, Ubiquiti and Allnet. On this hardware, Socialwave then uses self-developed software that optimizes performance and security.

UBIQUITI

Ubiquiti was founded in 2005 in the USA and initially produced WLAN adapters for computers before it began manufacturing its own routers, access points and other active network components in 2007. Ubiquiti has now combined its products in the UniFi enterprise WiFi system. Due to its excellent performance and reasonable prices, this has now become the epitome of WLAN for companies and businesses of all types. For this reason, Socialwave's access points are UniFi access points that use our specially adapted operating system. The switches that we use for our customers are also from Ubiquiti. A switch is a type of router that is responsible for distributing data in a network. By identifying the connected devices, the switch can optimally and efficiently distribute the data to be sent. In addition to data management, a switch also serves as a comprehensive PoE injector. A switch must work and be efficient at all times, and UniFi hardware is the best choice here.

MIKROTIK

The Latvian company Mikrotik was founded in 1996, worked with network hardware from the start and has been producing its own components since 2002. Mikrotik routers are now used all over the world because they guarantee a reliable and secure network. The base device, which is the core of the Socialwave system, is also manufactured by Mikrotik. It is a high-performance, professional router that contains the latest technology and is equipped with our software, which allows it to be flexibly adapted to the use case of every customer. This software also includes a professional firewall, which best prevents network misuse and blocks viruses and other harmful software. As a result, all users and operators of the hotspot can be optimally protected.

ALLNET

ALLNET is a company founded in 1991 in Germering near Munich, which from the early 1990s to the present day has spread all over the world through various subsidiaries and was initially a distribution network for network components. Since 2003, the company has been manufacturing its own hardware, such as routers or PoE injectors. Socialwave primarily uses ALLNET PoE injectors and switches so that our access points can be supplied with power via the network connection. Even at this point in the network, attention must be paid to professionalism and security, which is why we rely on the excellent hardware from ALLNET.

Since a customer network should be virtually standard in customer-oriented companies today, they absolutely must be based on professional, reliable and secure hardware. Socialwave therefore uses hardware from our partners Mikrotik, Ubiquiti and ALLNET, which, in combination with our operating systems, ensure an optimal network that can be adapted to each customer and their specific situation.
