Time reading time

As of mid-May 2020: In Germany, the number of new infections is currently falling. This is thanks to drastic measures taken by the government and, above all, the hard-working people in the healthcare system. As a result, the population can gradually return to normal. However, this can only happen with strict conditions to avoid a second wave of infection.

These requirements are difficult to implement for hairdressers and especially in the catering sector. That's why we at Socialwave have thought about how we can help you restart your restaurant or salon as carefree as possible. For this purpose, we have launched a project that makes it easier for you to comply with the legal requirements of the federal states. With our help, you can face the easing with strength and preparation.

We will explain “how” to you here:

Corona registration

When gradually opening restaurants, hair salons and other businesses, some federal states rely on the collection of guest contact details. Local operators must record contact details from their guests and keep them available for a certain period of time in order to be able to make infection chains comprehensible upon request.

That sounds like a lot of work and paperwork. But so that your customers don't get in the mood, Socialwave registers and stores customer data on databases in compliance with the GDPR. Your customers can register digitally with just one click. Of course, this documentation is safe and FREE! You can do it in 3 easy steps:

  1. registry: You register using the form on on the following page. We then create legally secure and GDPR-compliant documentation for your guests in our database.
  2. Guest registration: You will then receive a poster with a QR code that alerts your guests to the corona registration. Your guests scan the QR code and are therefore digitally recorded. Your guests no longer have to manually enter data into lists, where several guests may use the same pen.
  3. information: If the health department asks you to provide customer contact details due to an infection chain, you can simply export the data as an Excel file. Of course, we will be happy to provide you with an export by email when you contact our service team.

Free online reservation tool

In most federal states, restaurants, hairdressers and beer gardens are allowed to reopen for their guests and customers. However, only under the strict requirements of the respective federal states, such as the reservation requirement and compliance with capacity limits. In order to keep costs as low as possible, Socialwave, in cooperation with long-standing partner METRO, also offers a free reservation tool.

With this tool, your customers can reserve a table online themselves. This data can then be retrieved in real time in restaurants so that you always have an overview. All guests with a reservation will also receive an appointment reminder by email shortly before their visit so that you can avoid possible cancellations.

Online table booking is ideal as owners can determine how many visitors are allowed on the premises in a specific period of time. Online processing therefore relieves restaurateurs and hairdressers of the time-consuming work.

digital menus

In order to prevent a possible infection from reusable menus, some state governments require the use of digital or disposable menus. The requirement states that menus may only be distributed by guest and must then be disposed of immediately.

This requires an enormous amount of effort, as the said menus would have to be printed in large numbers. But Socialwave can also help you in this situation.

With our new system, you can send your current menu to your guests digitally. This happens when your customers log into your Socialwave guest WiFi. Delivery is automatic: All you have to do is upload the current menu to our portal.
